Privacy and Terms of Use

This site is run by the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) to publish official records of licensed professional combat sports in the Philippines: boxing, mixed martial arts, muay thai and kickboxing. This page explains what information the site shows and collects, how it is used, and the rules for using the site.

Privacy Notice

GAB processes personal information in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and issuances of the National Privacy Commission.

Public licensee records

As part of its regulatory mandate, GAB publishes records of licensed athletes and officials (such as referees, judges, promoters, matchmakers, managers and trainers) so the public, promoters and sanctioning bodies can verify licenses and fight records. Depending on the licensee, a record may show:

  • name, ring name, photo, sport, division, gym and nationality;
  • age, license status and license validity;
  • fight record, event participation, ratings and titles;
  • for officials, the registered contact number and area of residence given for licensing.

Birth dates and full home addresses are not published. The public search shows only names and the type of record.

Information you send us

When you use the Contact Us form, we collect your name, subject, contact number and message. GAB keeps the message and forwards it to its staff by email, and uses it only to respond to you and to handle your concern. Messages are kept in line with government record-keeping rules.

License applications through partners

Some license applications reach GAB through authorized partner systems rather than this website. These applications can include the applicant's name, photo, birth date and place of birth, home address and contact number, civil status, citizenship, height, weight, education and license details. GAB uses this information to evaluate and issue licenses and to maintain its licensing records. Only the details listed under "Public licensee records" above are ever shown on this site.

Information collected automatically

  • Server and security logs. Our servers and our network provider, Cloudflare, record technical details of each visit, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These are used to keep the site secure and working.
  • Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.
  • Browser storage. The site stores your selected sport in your browser so the pages open on the same sport next time. This stays on your device.

Sharing

GAB does not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers that run the site for GAB (hosting, Cloudflare, email and Google Analytics), with authorized partners that handle license applications under agreement with GAB, or when required by law.

Pages also load fonts and style files from Google Fonts and jsDelivr, so your browser connects to those services and they receive your IP address and browser details.

Security

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to administrative tools and stored data is limited to authorized GAB personnel.

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you may ask to be informed about, access, correct, object to, or ask for the deletion or blocking of your personal information, and you may file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. Licensees who find an error in their public record, such as a fight result or license date, may ask GAB to correct it.

Purpose of the records

Records are published for public information. GAB works to keep them accurate and current, but they may lag behind recent events or contain errors. For official purposes, such as a certification of a license or fight record, request it from GAB directly.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use the site or its data to harass, impersonate or defraud any person.
  • Do not send automated requests at a rate that slows the site for others.
  • Do not try to access administrative areas or data you are not authorized to see.
  • Do not present information from this site as an official GAB certification.

Content and links

Unless otherwise stated, content on this site is in the public domain. Photos and materials supplied by third parties remain the property of their owners. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; GAB is not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Changes

GAB may update this page. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
